The short answer

OCX has a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. 734,241,487 (73.42 percent) is public and 265,758,513 (26.58 percent) is held by the Orca Treasury, locked for one year in a Streamflow contract. There is no private round and no venture allocation.

Read this first
OCX is issued by Orca Crypto, so we are not a neutral party writing about it. The Orca Treasury holds 265,758,513 OCX, which is 26.58 percent of the supply, and that treasury is locked for one year through Streamflow. It is a community meme coin. It produces no revenue, it gives you no claim on anything, and it can go to zero. Nothing on this page is advice to buy it.

What the Orca Treasury is for

The treasury holds 265,758,513 OCX, locked for one year. It is there to fund things the community benefits from once it unlocks:

  1. Keeping the site free

Every guide on this site is free to read, with no paywall, no account and no advertising. That has running costs, and the treasury is one of the things that covers them.

  2. Community rewards

Contests, contributions, translations, corrections and anything else where somebody does real work for the community and should get something back for it.

  3. Liquidity support

Thin liquidity is the main thing that makes a small token painful to trade. Part of the treasury exists so that can be improved rather than complained about.

  4. Partnerships and listings

Some things cost money. Where spending treasury tokens gets OCX in front of more people or onto more venues, that is what it is for.

The treasury is locked

The whole 265,758,513 OCX treasury is locked for one year in a Streamflow contract. Streamflow is a token locking and vesting protocol on Solana. The contract holds the tokens, not us, and it releases them on a schedule written into the contract itself.

What that means in practice is that we cannot sell the treasury into the market during the lock, and you do not have to trust us on that. The lock is a public account on Solana.

When the lock ends we intend to burn at least half of what unlocks, at least 132,879,256 OCX, permanently removing it from supply. That is on the roadmap as phase six. It has not happened yet, and you should judge it when there is a transaction hash to look at rather than because it is written on a page.

What the lock does and does not do
A locked treasury is not the same as a treasury that has gone away, and an intention to burn is not a burn. Read the unlock date off the contract yourself and know when it arrives, because a large unlock is a real event for any token. A treasury of 26.58 percent is still a concentration, and we would rather say that plainly than let a lock badge do the arguing.

What is deliberately not here

  • No private sale. Nobody bought in at a better price before the public did.
  • No venture allocation. There is no investor tranche waiting to unlock onto you.
  • No separate team allocation. There is one treasury, stated above and locked, and nothing else set aside for anybody.
  • No mint authority. The supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000. More cannot be created.
  • No transaction tax. You are not paying a hidden percentage to us on every buy and sell.

You do not have to believe any of that. All of it is checkable on Solscan, and our DEX viewers guide explains how to check mint authority and holder concentration on any token, including this one.

How to verify all of this yourself

  1. Open the token on Solscan

Go to the token page and check the supply reads 1,000,000,000.

  2. Check mint and freeze authority

Both should be revoked. If either is live, more tokens can be created or your balance can be frozen. This is worth checking on every token you ever buy.

  3. Look at the holder list

The treasury wallet should be the size stated on this page. If the numbers here and the numbers onchain disagree, believe the chain and tell us.

  4. Check the pool

Open DEX Screener and look at liquidity, not just the chart. That number is what decides whether you can actually sell.
