The parts that change the answer
The fee gap is the whole story
The simple flow charges a spread plus a flat fee that is easy to miss because it is bundled into the price you see. The advanced interface charges a published maker and taker fee that is a fraction of it. On a few hundred dollars the difference is small enough to ignore; repeated monthly it is not.
It is one account, not two
Nothing is transferred, no new verification, no second password. Advanced is a different view of the same balance, which is why switching costs nothing and why the argument for staying on the simple one is weaker than it looks.
What you give up is familiarity
An order book, a depth chart and limit orders look like more than you asked for. You can ignore all of it and place a market order in the same number of taps, which is the point worth making to somebody who is hesitating.
