What you hold. Heavy bags are large positions, usually ones that are down.
Your bags are your positions. Bagholder, the older term, means somebody left holding something after the people who promoted it have gone. Bag is now used neutrally for any holding, and the phrase bags packed means a position built before an expected move.
The word carries a useful image. A bag is something you carry, and the weight is the point. Position sizing is what determines whether a holding is something you carry comfortably or something that changes how you sleep.
