A long stretch of falling prices, usually a drawdown of 70 percent or more in crypto.
Crypto bear markets are severe. Drawdowns of 70 to 85 percent from the highs have happened in every previous cycle, including for assets that later made new highs.
Bear markets are also when most real building happens, because the people chasing quick money leave and the ones who care about the technology stay.
Bitcoin has had several drawdowns above 75 percent and has recovered from each so far. Most other assets from those cycles never did.
